Modular 3d builder
From ARki 10 we introduce Kit Of Parts (KOP) which lets you import a library of models to showcase your designs as a modular system.
KOP projects can be used to visualise a library of models, such as furniture, or building elements. In the video above we are showcasing a library of architectural parts setup as a KOP project.

1:  Create Modular Designs

modular designs
Import Kit of Part (KOP) models and ARki autogenerates the UI so you can easily visualise each module. (Read on below to learn how to setup KOP models in your 3d software)

2: Design Projects Like Lego

Home design app
Drag and drop each part into the scene and create new configurations, in both 3d/AR.

3: Add Headings and Text

Modular design software
Label and organise modules with text and headings

4: Position Models Accurately in AR/3D

AR app for 3d design
Create new configurations using the various transforms including move, rotate, duplicate, lock, group, snap and more.

5: Export in FBX

Export FBX
Export your configurations in FBX so that you can open them in other softwares.

6: Share Projects

Share your ARki project and let your users create and save their own configurations

Create modular designs in ARki using 3ds Max

To create a library of models you need to setup each model as an ARkipart
Position each model at the world centre point
Create a Dummy and name it ARkipart01
Make sure the Dummy is setup at the world center point
Parent the 3d model to the ARkipart01 Dummy
Repeat the process for every part in your library
Number each part in the order you want them to show up in ARki
Make sure you have every parts parented to a Dummy with the correct number
Export the FBX, make sure you have Embed Media selected
In ARki your project will open as a series of models with thumbnails for each part
Drag and drop parts into the scene and make new designs in AR/3D

Create modular designs in ARki using Sketchup

To create a library of models in Sketchup you need to setup each model as an ARkipart
Position each model at the world centre point
Make model into a Component and name it ARkipart01
Name the Instance ARkipart01 as well
Repeat the process for every parts
Number each part in the order you want them to show up in the app
Export the FBX model, Archive the model and texture into a zip file and import it inside ARki.
In ARki your project will open as a series of models with thumbnails for each part.
Drag and drop parts into the scene and make new designs in AR/3D

Create modular designs in ARki using Rhino

To create a library of models in Rhino you need to setup each model as an ARkipart
Position each model at the world centre point
Add a layer named ARkipart01, and add the model inside it
Repeat the process for every parts
Number each part in the order you want them to show up in the app
Export the FBX model and import it inside ARki.
In ARki your project will open as a series of models with thumbnails for each part.
Drag and drop parts into the scene and make new designs in AR/3D

Create modular designs in ARki using Maya

To create a library of models in Maya you need to setup each model as an ARkipart
Position each model at the world centre point
Create a Locator and name it ARkipart01
Parent the 3d model to the ARkipart01 Locator
Repeat the process for every parts
Number each part in the order you want them to show up in the app
Export the FBX model and import it inside ARki.
In ARki your project will open as a series of models with thumbnails for each part.
Drag and drop parts into the scene and make new designs in AR/3D

Create modular designs in ARki using Cinema4D

To create a library of models in Cinema4D you need to setup each model as an ARkipart
Position each model at the world centre point
Create an Null and name it ARkipart01
Parent the 3d model to the ARkipart01 Null
Repeat the process for every parts
Number each part in the order you want them to show up in the app
Export the FBX model and import it inside ARki.
In ARki your project will open as a series of models with thumbnails for each part.
Drag and drop parts into the scene and make new designs in AR/3D

Create modular designs in ARki using Blender

To create a library of models in Blender you need to setup each model as an ARkipart
Position each model at the world centre point
Create an Empty and name it ARkipart01
Parent the 3d model to the ARkipart01 Empty
Repeat the process for every parts
Number each part in the order you want them to show up in the app
Export the FBX model and import it inside ARki.
In ARki your project will open as a series of models with thumbnails for each part.
Drag and drop parts into the scene and make new designs in AR/3D
