One of the key highlights of ARki is the possibility to include custom interactivity features, for the most engaging visualisation. The options for interactivity within ARki are vast, and we often get asked what sorts of interactive features/animations are available to include?
The type of feature we recommend for each app is usually directly linked to the design agenda, and the story behind each proposition. Highlighting specific features using real-time animations, and toggles, are a great way to communicate the design process and ultimately immerse users with your projects.
Below are a list of features that we recommend within an ARki experience.
1.) Material Selection
Change specific materials within the model, such as finishes.
2.) Programme strategy
Highlight specific programme features, such as floor space area, circulation strategy, and programme functions with 3d diagram overlays, and tags.
3.) Layer toggle
Switch off certain parts of the design, such as external envelopes, or sections through the building to reveal internal characteristics.
4.) Sun-Path Animation
Animate the sun-path based on the location of the design, for any time of the year, for accurate shadow analysis.
5.) Wind Circulation Animation
Animate wind movement and aero dynamics with 3d animations.
6.) Design Options
Iterate through multiple design options with easy toggles.
7.) Environmental Analysis
Illustrate environmental data such as Ecotect information with 3d overlays.
8.) AR/VR Mode
Toggle between AR and VR mode so that users can experience your model in both formats, and navigate through internal spaces easily with a VR joystick.
Place models accurately in the real-world using the location of the device.
10.) Construction Sequence
Iterate through the construction sequence using interactive animations.
Demonstrate different lighting strategies such as day and night shots.
12.) Physics-based simulations
Animate accurate collisions and detections between design members using physics-based simulations.
13.) People and Transport simulation
Animate people and Transport movement throughout the design.
